Ten Minutes

A disciple of Hindu once decided to take a pilgrim trip to the sacred temple in Mountain Himalayas. It was a very long journey. Those mountain trails were rough and the extreme thin air made the journey even harder. Although he carried a very light baggage,it is still very hard for him to move forward. He walked and rested along and he was almost out of breath . He kept on look ahead,hoping to see the destination soon.

Then he saw a little girl right ahead of him. The girl is about ten years old or even younger. She was carrying a little fat boy on her back walking slowly forward. She sweated and breath hardly. But her hands were tightly protecting aournd the little boy on her back..

The disciple of Hindu walked by the little girl, with sympathy, he said "My child,you must be very tired. You have a heavy burden on your back." The little girl said repulsively, "You have a heavy burden on your back . But on my back there is no heavy burden . He is my brother."

Yes, there is no difference between a little brother and a baggage on a scale. It will show the actual weight of the object. But in the mind of that little girl, it is her brother on her back instead a heavy burden. Only a baggage can be considered as a burden.

She was filled with love deeply in her heart towards her little brother.

Love is weightless. Love is not a burden. It is solicitude with joy, an unconditional commitment.

Our little thoughts about the story

There is one and only truth in the Universe. It is the roots of all things. The one and only truth is weightless, colorless and soundless. It is secretly and deeply hidden in each and everybody's heart. Are we filled with this divine spirit in our heart? Or, we think that divine feeling is a burden when we face the reality of life?
